Study Stays in France

Summer holidays are an important opportunity for students to prepare for the 11 Plus and other assessments, which will be taken shortly after starting back at school.

Classyonne is the ideal base for a wonderful study stay in beautiful Burgundy. With excellent accommodation, facilities and grounds. Set in a typical Burgundian farmhouse with lovely gardens surrounded by wonderful countryside in the heart of France, we offer two student rooms and a cozy apartment for couples. Your hosts, Andrew and Marielle, are of course both DBS cleared teachers with safeguarding training. For pictures and descriptions of our learning centre in Burgundy as well as ideas for places to visit and family activities, please see our Study Stays website by clicking here. We also have many books as well as many games and garden activities for families to enjoy, too:)

An hour of 11 Plus or other Tuition is offered every morning. Whenever possible, this takes place under the impressive horse chestnut tree in our lovely gardens. A further hour of supervision is also offered, which includes a 15 minute break and a 45 minute paper to tackle and be used as a basis for the following day's lesson. During this time parents and other siblings are free to take their time to enjoy breakfast al fresco, go out (we have lots of ideas for great local walks and visits) or have a lie in! If you would like to learn French while your child is prepping for the 11 Plus we can arrange that too!

The rest of the day is for your family to enjoy the many places of interest and savour the delights of country life in this wonderful area of France :)

Alternatively, parents can leave their child in our care and have a week away themselves! We regularly host students without parents present in the summer.
